Tell us about Lightfoot Travel.

Lightfoot Travel is a luxury tour operator with offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai, specializing in designer holidays to countries spanning six continents around the world.
 

Our clients are very diverse and include families, groups of friends, couples on their honeymoon and corporate business travelers. Whether it’s finding the coolest camping safari in Africa, the most lavish resort and spa in the Maldives, or the most exclusive city hotel in Sydney, our local knowledge is second-to-none, and we make it our business to be on top of all the latest news in luxury travel.
 

Above all, we offer a highly personalized service not found with local travel agents or when booking online. Additionally, Lightfoot only uses properties we have personally experienced and would wish to stay in ourselves, so when we recommend something, you can rest assured that it is absolutely first-rate.
 

How does IT affect your business?

Currently we have offices situated in Hong Kong, Dubai, Bali, and Singapore. The main goal is attempting to link our four global offices into one system, which is an ongoing process and completely above our in-house knowledge and way above our capability so we need an outside vendor to help us with that. If something goes offline for a day or the computers are not working, that’s potentially tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of holidays that we are not booking. Therefore, having a system go down is pretty drastic for us.
 

How has eVantage Technology helped your business?

The nature of our business means we’ve got a very specialized software which isn’t really freely available on the market.  It is still quite antiquated, so it doesn’t really fit on the Cloud.  It has been quite a challenge for us, but it’s great to have eVantage Technology giving us the help and support we need.
 

Describe your experience working with eVantage Technology.
 

It has been a very positive experience. eVantage Technology understood our means, our budget and our requirements. We don’t have an IT person in-house, so it is important for us to have that support at hand when we need it.  It’s vital, especially with how much we’ve grown in the last two years.
